Gone But Not Forgotten

Snubbed by the critics 3 months before it ever aired, the “little-comedy-that-never stood-a-chance”, Key West, remains my all-time favorite television comedy series. Sure, the cast of characters were just that: characters, but played with complexity, subtlety and depth. I simply couldn’t NOT like this group of steadfast lost souls. I mean, what can you say about a series that begins with the central character driving his Mustang into the surf, hopping out, pulling a pistol and shooting the car?! Pink said it best: “So raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways, all my underdogs!”
